I know there are many people who make money online using Adwords and Adsense. I would like to hear from anyone who has, and to know about the cost. I understand the cost is related to the keywords you pick. I’ve also been told that unless you have some disposable income to put toward your advertising, it’s best not to venture there. What do you think?

Why The Mystery?

January 13, 2007

If you have (as many people have, including myself) been searching for ways to make money online, no doubt you’ve spent quite a bit of your own money or time trying to find out the secrets of the “online gurus” who rake in thousands of dollars a month. I make a little money here and there online but what I’ve discovered is this: they won’t tell you the bottom line because then you will stop buying their products that give you useful information, but not the absolute truth. Here’s what I find to be the absolute truth, just from my research. You either have to a) have quite a deal of disposable income to spend on advertising or b) have a hell of a lot of free time to spend in front of your computer finding free ways to promote yourself. If you happen to have a few thousand dollars socked away to spend on Google Adsense, then by all means, go for it (just make sure you’ve got a product you really believe in). Otherwise, be prepared to spend 12 plus hours a day sitting in front of your computer promoting yourself. If you have a regular 40 hour a week job, you know that’s not possible for you. So start saving if you want an internet business of your own, because in your case, money is what it will take. Some of these successful people have dropped 10, 20 30 thousand dollars on programs, advertising , seminars, etc… and they aren’t making that clear to you. An internet business is not that different from a brick and mortar one. You still have to spend money to make money (or have 15 hours a day free time to put into it). That’s the bottom line.
